HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training, and consists of performing exercises for a duration of 20-60 seconds. Short bursts of all-out effort, followed by a recovery phase, and then repeated.

 

HIIT workouts are ideal for those short on time, as they require full commitment for what is usually less than half the time of a typical workout. It can also allow you to be much more efficient with getting more exercises in within your routine than compared to being spread out over the week.
